Aim : understand and master each step of semen analysis on a computer-Assisted sperm Analyser such as CEROS II or IVOS II

Audience : daily operational individuals, DVM’s, Scientists, Lab managers
Participants : max. 6 people
Pre-requisite : all the future users of the equipment should be attending. Participants should have a willing to learn and to practice on laboratory equipments. For this training, raw semen, fresh and frozen doses semen of good and bad quality with different concentrations (if known) are needed. Warming stage, tubes, tips, extender and calibrated micropipettes are mandatory

Administrative information and hardware overview	Extraction and personalization of a report
Presentation of the different screens and functions	Extraction of the database and Excel table from different requests
Demonstration of the daily procedure	Questions and troubleshooting
Definition of specific setups for dilution and cutoff values	Save a backup and important information about softwares
Recommendation on pipetting, diluting, loading a slide	Signature of documents
Exercise on dilution rate and pipetting	Discussion for exercises with personalised recommendations
Maintenance and cleaning

Learning Tools : At the end of the training, participants will understand the impact of pipetting on semen quality, will be able to prepare, pipette and analyse samples, to use the multiple features of HTCASAII software and hardware and perform basic troubleshooting.
Materials provided : Presentations in PowerPoint or pdf format A4 and A3 posters
Certificate : Attendance certificate and Certificate of Completion following the post-training quiz will be delivered.
