IMV Technologies was founded in 1963 by the inventor of the bovine artificial insemination straw, Mr. Robert Cassou. It is today an international company with subsidiaries in 8 countries. Today, IMV Technologies is involved in every step of the breeding process for farm animals, including in cattle, swine, equine, small ruminants, fish (primarily salmonids) and other species. We sell products used from semen collection to pregnancy diagnosis.
IMV Technologies provides animal artificial insemination and embryo transfer centers, veterinarians and breeders with equipment and consumables, as well as education, to help them in their daily work. We are happy to be able to provide our customers with products for all species, including bovine, swine, poultry, equine, sheep, goats, rabbits, fish and dogs, allowing them to collect, analyse, prepare, package, cryopreserve and store semen, as well as inseminate and check their animals for pregnancy. We are particularly keen to support our customers on a daily basis, for the use of our products, but also to help them develop their skills.
After creating the first French AI center for cattle in 1946, Robert Cassou founded IMV ("Instruments de Médecine Vétérinaire") in 1963. Since 1980, the group has reinforced its international presence by opening subsidiaries in the United States, India, China, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Scotland and Brazil. Beyond the global expansion of the company, our history is full of a long series of innovations, including consumables, solutions to automate technicians' work in AI centers and in biobanks, as well as the creation of new preservation media or cryopreservation solutions.
Leja slides play an important role in our semen analysis product range. Fixed-depth slides are essential to make full use of our CASA systems. These slides are made in the Netherlands and are the only calibrated slides with the precision and accuracy needed for reliable semen analysis.
IMV imaging is our organization dedicated to veterinary and diagnostic imaging. Combining the expertise of both BCF Technology and ECM, IMV imaging has over 35 years of experience in imaging technology. We are committed to our core values of partnership, learning and innovation:
