Providing a range of egg-sorters, reproduction and cryopreservation technologies, IMV Technologies wants to guide the aquaculture industry toward precision farming. Created in 2011 by Torben Nielsen, CEO of Aquasearch, the ProSorter, the machine is able to rapidly remove glass eggs, pin-eyed, small-sized and other non-viable eggs. Based on new image processing technology, the sorter totally replaces manual egg picking without damages to the eggs and allow a better standardization of egg batches shipped from the hatcheries.
