Position Summary and Key accountabilities

Within the Commercial team, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible to develop the name and understanding of the IMV technology brand products throughout the UK, Ireland, and other territories to the Production Animal Sectors across Bovine, Swine, Ovine and Aqua sectors. This position will manage and grow the customer base, both in sales and profitability. They will also develop and implement the Sales and Marketing plan.

 

Specific Responsibilities


Business Development

  • Develop, share, and execute an annual plan to secure and grow existing accounts; to acquire new accounts to launch new and innovative products.
  • Analyse trends in sales and recommend the necessary adjustments.

Sales

  • Be knowledgeable about the IMV Technologies product range. 
  • Identify new potential customers in the territory within the livestock, farming, avian and aquaculture sectors.
  • Establish strong relationships with existing key customers as well as new perspective clients, including with high level executives at our client organisations (CEO, CRO, COO etc)
  • Able to cover the full sales process from prospection to negotiation and manage complex sales cycles involving different departments both internally and at the customer site.
  • Perform field demonstrations, sometime on farms and with animals (predominantly with bovine and porcine animals).

After Sales

  • Provide support to your clients to ensure their satisfaction after delivery and installation of their products.
  • Highlight client issues and initiate solutions.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the aftersales service department.
  • Manage all Accounts Payable Issues

Management and Organisation

  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across the organization.
  • Propose continuous improvement in the department and organization and take the lead on implementing suitable improvements.

Reporting and Administration

  • Input all sales activities and pipeline follow up in the CRM system. Maintain an accurate pipeline for your own customer portfolio.
  • Provide weekly and monthly qualitative and timely reports with the corresponding analysis on sales in the UK and Irish region.


The Person

  • Nationality: Open
  • Languages: Fluent in English is mandatory; French language skills would be advantageous 
  • University Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or similar discipline


Previous Experience and skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in similar position
  • Previous experience in the animal health/agritech environment would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a technical sales environment would be advantageous.
